Champ d'Action
Champ d’Action has been running through the years of the TRANSIT festival as an experimental unifying theme. This time they will be conducted by the Lithuanian composer/conductor Vykintas Baltakas. For his ‘oeuvre in pro-gress’ Vykintas has established new musical criteria.
Musical experiment
Stefan Prins, whose musical output is continually in motion, will present his latest work (composed for his Staubach Award/ Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, premiere July 2010). Simon Steen-Andersen seamlessly joins in on this evolution, with his (Scandinavian) inventiveness. His Chambered Music features – among other things – a fuzzy voice reciting from Nelson Mandela’s prison diary, a trombonist put somewhere backstage, and hidden metronomes in boxes.
Champ d’Action gives you the opportunity to finish your weekend in a state of total musical astonishment/bewilderment!
