Arne Deforce & & Centre Henri Pousseur SOLD OUT
Combine Arne Deforce with contemporary music and you already have a pure passion and drive. Add the Centre Henri Pousseur, new music’s top supplier of electronics, and you have the perfect forces on stage for a sublime cello concert. Vladimir Scolnic (Israel) will keep it purely acoustic, exploring the deep sounds in the cello’s nether regions. Daniele Venturi (Italy) and Raphael Cendo (France) will position loudspeakers all around the concert hall so that the cello sounds come at you from all directions. Venturi: poetic and colourful; Cendo: as always, revelatory. Tim Vets (Belgium), fascinated for years by elec-tronic music and sound installations, took up the challenge of the cello at TRANSIT’s re-
quest. The ‘double talent’ Wieland Hoban (England/Germany) will record his own poetic text on tape which he will have interact with the cello.
